Me and Milly after a sucsessfull schooling session and gallop >> :)
Me and Milly went schooling in the '' Big Field '' which is about 5 minutes from the stables. Its about 3 acres all together, and its just costantly going up and down which is SOO much fun, and great for Millys' muscles! There are loads of fields for us to ride in, becuase were right in the heart of the mountains, its amazing! Milly LOVES going for hacks, and i really enjoy them too, partly becuase i know she loves them. I used to go round and round in the school day after day, but now we get out whenever and wherever we can. This time last year, i refused to hack her becuase i was literally petrified, i am so proud of how far we've come...jumping was such an issue, and we almost sold her over it. But anyway...she's going brilliantly atm, we're not jumping so much, just to give her a little break so she doesn't get bored of it, but on this new feed its going to be fun :S we switched her to spillers cool mix becuase she was slightly lacking conditiion and energy, but she has been on it for about 2 weeks now, and her energy has come back, its hilarious! she goes sideways before we gallop, and jogs on the spot, she wont stand still ,and she walks like shes on a mission.

Milly

Milly was really good today, especially as it was raining, which she usually HATES! I set up 3 blocks about 2 meters apart from each other on both sides of the school so we could practice our flying changes today, which need perfecting, as she sometimes doesn't do them, or she sometimes disunites in her back end! but just to be able to do them is fun, as i've always wanted to be able to! :)
She did a few across the diagonal, which i was pleased about too! :) Ever since she has been on a new feed she seems more foward going , which is really nice as she can be a bit sluggish in the arena, but she is foward going on out hacks, especally when we have a canter :)
When i put milly backshe was really funny and kept trying to '' kiss '' me becuase she knows if she does she will get a treat, so she loved her new trick! Even though its not very nice if shes just had her dinner as she has cold, wet chaff around her mouth!
The ponies have both had rugs on over the last few days as the weather has been awfull ! :@ and the evenings are getting darker so i wont be able to ride as much! :( - i wish they 'd get floodlights at the stables! Still, im lucky i had a menage at all, this time last year i was riding in a boggy old field which was 20x20 , - on a slope.! it did me good though, improved my balance!
Sorry the first blog was quite long! Lok ou for my next one !

Intro :)

okay...well i own 2 gorgeous ponies who are called Sheba and Milly. i love them so much! i ride almost everyday, and when im not riding you will find me grooming, or tack cleaning, basically anything that envolves horses! i have been riding for nearly 7 years, and i have loved every minute of it, i can't see myself doing anything else in the world. when i was 6 years old my life changed compleatley when i got a beautiful little pony on loan called sheba. we got her from a riding school that was closing down, which explains why she is so good to ride. she is so good about everything, despite the fact that she only has one eye, which makes her that bit more special than she allready is :) after about 2 years sheba's old owner gave sheba to us :D milly is my second pony who i got on the 15th May 2006. at first we didn't get on that great and we had a few problems ( mainly due to my lack of confidence at the time! ) but we are getting on amazing now, i couldn't be with out her!
